TAX REBATE FOR INTERNATIONAL PRODUCTION (TRIP): a tailored incentive for your projects

The international scheme is at 30% (40% with the VFX bonus) with a cap per project at €30 million. The minimum spend required to qualify is €250K. It applies to both animated and live-action projects, including feature films, TV series and dramas, animation, VR and web projects. TRIP works for a whole film or only a sequence of it, as well as for a single or several episodes in serial projects.

Marvel’s Thor, Wong Kar-Wai’s The Grandmaster, the third Twin Peaks season by David Lynch as well as the Denis Villeneuve's Blade Runner 2049 already chose France for parts of their VFX productions and enjoyeds the tax incentive.

On top of the 30% rebate, the euro still stands at a record low level, makes France an extremely attractive destination.

RENOWNED TRAINING AND TALENTS

France offers a large number of specialized cinema and TV training programs.
A recent ranking revealed that four out of the ten top international animation schools are french. VFX schools as Rubika-Supinfocom, ArtFX, ISART Digital or ISAA or are wordwidely renowned for the quality of their high-level creative and technical teaching and the expertise of their alumnis.
Every year, French graduates are massively hired by the most influential US VFX and animation studios. Their talent contributed to the success of the 3D computer-animated comedies The Minions features animated in the Paris based studio Illumination Mac Guff.
